We are Back!!
Pa'as Grandma who Eliza is named after. Pa'as cousin Jessie the Bride!!
Cousins on the Haole side!! Cousins on the Falevai side!!
We are Back now for our 14 hour road trip to Idaho and 14 hours back. Talk about Backache, No sleep, and BUTT cheeks hurting from sitting too long. Other than all that, it was a FUN trip. Pa'a drove most of the way up and I drove most of the way back home. But, we got to see family and the twins got to spend a lot of time with their cousins and we attended pa'as cousins wedding which was a real cute cowboy country wedding. So the trip was worth it. Malia and Liza were really good desipte the fact that they were stuck in their car seats for 14 hours with one potty stop each way. Glad to be home!!

BABY HAVEN!!
This is HAVEN WUNSCH My sister in law MiHa and Matts Baby. He was Bron JAN.28.2009 a week early and weighed in at 6lbs and 19inches long. He now weighs 8lbs, smiles a lot more and is doing well. His eyes are a grayish blue which sometimes turn green. His Parents are hoping it will stay but i guess his daddy had blue eyes till he was one and now their light brown. So, we;ll see, it would be cool if his eyes stayed blue or gray. WOW!! He is such a cute baby definitely has that Hapa Haole look. Malia and Eliza love to smother him with lots of kisses and nose rubs. Sometimes they'll start singing him a lalluby even if he's already sleeping. Too cute!! Everyone says he looks just like his daddy and of course when we compared baby pictures, he definitely got a Wunsch look to him. WE WELCOME BABY HAVEN TO EARTH!!

Nature Calls!!
HAIL CAME DOWN RIGHT AS WE WERE FINISHING OUR FAMILY NATURE WALK.
Poor Liza fell flat on her face running down our driveway after mommy told her not to 3x! Sometime i feel like AIR!!
Malia and Eliza enjoys coming to the stream when we go on our walks, which is very rare but as you can see, they are really excited because its the first time we let them get close the water.

Family Nature Walk!!
Family Nature Walk!!
After a few days of rain, snow and Hail, my prayers were finally answered when the sun decided to come out and say hello. So we decided that it was natures way of calling us to take a break from the Heater in the house and come out for some fresh washington air. Of course it was still FREEZING LIKE THE HECK!! But, it was good enough for a walk. My inlaws neighbors have a little stream nearby that the girls love to go and throw rocks, and just watch the water flow and hope that they'll see fish, which hasn't happened yet. Theres a lot of land so we like to take the girls and walk down as far as we can go. Usually to get them tired and ready for their NAP! Its a nice walk. Unfortunately, our walk came to an end when we started to feel Hail falling on us. With the sun out hail still finds a way to come down and ruin the day.. it was okay, We got into the house right before it started to come down real hard. For some reason the girls poor cheeks turn red when its cold or warm, must be the sibbett blood cause we are too brown on my side to even see RED cheeks. But the girls discovered their red cheeks today and said, "We need hot cocoa to make our red cheeks go away". I was like "How does Cocoa make your red cheeks go away?" Liza says, "Silly mom, the cocoa burns my stomache then the red goes away" THATS A NEW ONE!! Kids say the darnest things!! we love our nature walks, It makes us think of Hawaii, even if its just a little sunshine its good enough for the soul!! Don't forget, if your cheeks turn red Hot cocoa will help get rid of it!!

THANKYOU OC16TV
So thanks to OC16tv online I was able to show my real RED RAIDER FOR LIFE dedication. Despite the LIVE streamline freezing up a couple of times I was able to watch my nephew and the kahuku Basketball team play in the state championship game against Kamehameha. So we hooked up my Laptop to the tv and at 9pm washington time we watched the game. It was such a stressful game, i started to get louder and louder with 2 minutes remaining in the game I started to yell at my tv(As if the players and ref could hear me.) My poor daughter was sitting on my lap and i fully shoved her off so that i could watch the last 15 seconds of the game (sorry Liza) what a horrible mom! Funny thing is, i could hear Liza asking her dad, (why is mom yelling?) Unfotunately, Kamehameha pulled off a win by 2 against Kahuku and i was feeling a little home sick. When the game was over, i found myself leaving OC16TV on so that i could watch the commercials in hawaii (eventhough their not the best) and i started to listen to hawaiian music, it was now 2am in the morning and I forgot to prepare my primary lesson. So, i quickly got out of the home sick mood and started to prepare it. What a Night!!
Congratulations to the KAHUKU RED RAIDERS! You are winners in my eyes for fighting your way to the top. You Beat Kaimuki, Punahou, and Iolani. That in itself is a fight well fought. Love you Shai! You did us proud. RED RAIDER 4 LIFE!!!

Make ur own Breakfast!!
So we had a little fun this morning when my little ones decided they would make their own Breakfast. Grandma had (ONE) small Apron so the girls wanted to break it in. Of course when theres only one of something and two 3 year olds all hell breaks loose when mom has to choose who goes first and explaining the whole taking turns routine. After a few minutes of going back and forth on who's going to use the Apron first my little malia always seems to find a place to allow her older sister by 12minutes go first. We then had to decide what they were going to make themselves for breakfast and of course with the excitement of just being able to cook their own food, they were good with whatever. So we decided to make FRENCH TOAST. They both cracked the eggs and of course a couple of shells in a bowl, took turns stirring and then one at a time cooked their own french toast, i helped them cut it in little pieces and they poured their syrup. It was the first time they hurried to their Booster chair and wanted their food right away. I was also surprised at how well they ate and listened after i allowed them to do something that made them feel responsible and confident. Funny thing is, I make frech toast at least once a week and this was the first time i heard them say "THIS WAS THE BEST FRENCH TOAST EVER" I guess no offense to mommies french toast. It's not easy doing this everyday but, I think when time permits itself children should be allowed to build that sense of confidence and feel a little responsible for things in their lives. FUN! FUN! FUN! (if you wanted to know Liza is the one in the purple Dora pajamas and malia is in the pink flower pajamas).

Kahuku OIA Championship

Congratulations to the Kahuku Varsity Basketball team on their win over the Kaimuki Bulldogs. I'd like to personally say how proud i am of my Nephew SHAI who is only a sophmore but is very talented. Although i was not at the game I heard it was a very physical game which left my poor nephew with a little bump under his eye after a kaimuki player elbowed him. Good luck to Kahuku in the state tournament hope u guys take it all the way. Red Raider for life!
